Owning a Swimming Pool in a Small Space
Many of those who don’t have a very large yard tend to completely dismiss the idea of owning a swimming pool. Those individuals should give it another thought, though, because there are plenty of pool options available for people with smaller spaces. Let’s take a look at 2 of the ones that are typically used.
Lap Pool
If you’re big on swimming but only have a small, narrow area for a pool, well then a lap pool is absolutely perfect for your needs. Think about it. You can do all of your swimming exercise right at home without worrying about other swimmers or specific swimming hours. While most often used for swimming laps, they can also be used for something known as pool running.
Your lap pool is typically going to be a longer, more narrow pool that is one long rectangle. They are built for people who want to be more fit and healthy.
They are usually built from either fiberglass or concrete, and are pretty easy to install, clean, and maintain.
Plunge Pool
Plunge pools don’t take up all that much space due to their smaller size, but they are big enough to grant you and your loved ones a nice, enjoyable pool experience. When you have this kind of pool its easy to relax after a long day.
To take this a step further you can setup some jet streams in the pool and get a nice in pool massage going. By setting up a heating system in the plunge pool you can make use of the pool all year round. Add some nice, relaxing features like custom LED lights and you’re good to go!
Having a small area in your yard doesn’t immediately mean that you can’t ever have a swimming pool. It just means you need to take a look at what space you have available and think about some of the options you have open to you. This will help you to find the best design for your needs, which will ensure that you get the most happiness out of your pool.
