Ring Around the Pool?

Hard Water & Calcium Removal

What makes our process different? To start, we’ve actually created a special mobile trailer for calcium and hard water cleans! It has everything our certified techs need to get the job done.

Once we’re actually on-site we first drain the water several inches below the tile. Then we clean the tile using environmentally safe methods based on your specific tile, which are sprayed at the tile at a low air pressure. The calcium buildup is destroyed, leaving the tile surface beautiful again but without damage. The detritus settles to the bottom of the pool, where it is vacuumed out…. leaving the pool and spa area crystal clean and ready to swim in!! Our clients are usually surprised how quickly we can do it and find it very inexpensive when weighing out the alternatives.

One of the questions we get all the time is: “why don’t I just clean up the pool stains myself?” For normal dirt or debris, you probably could. Hard water and calcium stains on the other hand, are much more difficult and potentially perilous. Some DIY (do-it-yourself) solutions we’ve seen go bad over the years include: people spending hours and days removing the buildup by hand with a pumice stone (which causes damage to the tile), using harsh chemicals which mess with the balance of your pool water (unsafe to swim in), or just replacing the tile (which can be costly). We think that when you factor in your time and potential danger to your pool that our service represents a much better value.

Finally, another question that we frequently get is what kind of surfaces can you clean? Almost everything! Glass tile, standard pool tile, artificial rock, Pebble Tech, natural rock, waterfall and fountains, and more! We’ve posted some before and after samples below:
